Johnson Screens® perforated plate scallops offer a cost-effective solution for catalyst retention and leakage prevention in radial flow units. Lightweight in design, they can be easily installed in reforming units and serve as accessories matched with center pipes inside reforming reactors.
Thermal expansion and contraction of vessels will exert loads on scallops and center pipe surfaces. Designed to deform under extreme loads, the baskets act as safety valves to protect center pipes and minimize the risk of catalyst leakage into heaters or exchangers. Precise dimensional tolerances and uniform structural shape are essential to guarantee reliable safety performance, all of which are fully met by our products.
Licensors of radial flow equipment impose strict standards on perforation dimensions and detailed final assembly drawings. These baskets are commonly fabricated from 18 ga. (1.2 mm) 321H stainless steel plate, and can be customized to suit specific unit requirements. 16 ga. (1.57 mm) heavy-duty versions are also available for enhanced structural stability. Our products fully comply with specification criteria set by all process licensors.
We keep stock of 321H stainless steel materials to support urgent replacement of damaged parts. Our on-site service team helps restore normal operation efficiently.
