Industrial Heat Pump Technology

Against the backdrop of rising energy prices, utilizing heat pumps to generate and recover steam is an ideal choice. The basic principle of Piller industrial heat pumps is to recover waste heat and raise it to a usable temperature level.
Advantages: Greatly reduced primary energy consumption, lower carbon dioxide emissions and improved overall economic efficiency of the system.
Drawing on years of accumulated expertise in Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR), Piller applies high-performance blowers as industrial heat pumps, which can fully utilize residual heat in the system. To produce usable steam, Piller makes use of existing liquids in the system, including steam and water generated from production processes.

Process Vapor Recovery

When steam is directly compressed for heating purposes, it follows the basic principle of the classic Mechanical Vapor Compression (MVC) process. Apart from process heating, compressed steam can also be applied to other production procedures or used to generate steam and hot water.

Lower Operating Costs

In cases where waste heat is not in gaseous form or steam cannot be compressed, the innovative heat pump cycle combined with evaporation systems can be adopted. Its distinctive feature lies in the initial steam generation stage. Piller uses water as the working fluid, which evaporates under low pressure and low temperature inside the steam generator (evaporator). High-performance blowers raise the pressure and temperature of steam to drive production processes and meet the demands of heating systems.

Advantages and Applications

Economic Advantages of Industrial Heat Pump Systems

This system has proven its outstanding economic performance and sustainability in energy-intensive industries with massive steam demand. Our system is applicable for renovation wherever thermal separation processes exist accompanied by waste heat loss.

The integrated design of Piller industrial heat pumps and the consequent improvement in energy efficiency greatly enhance plant cost-effectiveness, cutting energy costs by over 50% with a payback period of less than three years.

Piller fans are applicable to vacuum conditions, with medium pressure ranging from several millibars up to 20 bar absolute. Designed for industrial scenarios, they adapt to all climatic conditions and enable year-round stable operation. Apart from superior quality, Piller products feature easy maintenance and high reliability, which have been fully verified through decades of market application in vapor recompression.

Ecological Advantages of Industrial Heat Pump Systems

Furthermore, it reduces carbon dioxide emissions by replacing fossil fuels. Unlike conventional heat pumps, Piller industrial heat pumps require no environmentally harmful, hazardous or corrosive refrigerants. They adopt existing working fluids such as process steam and water, making remarkable contributions to climate protection and resource conservation.

The benefits are evident: recycling waste heat boosts energy efficiency, curbs fossil fuel consumption, lowers carbon dioxide emissions and slashes energy costs, all realized through your process upgrading.
